7th Annual Meeting
The Indiana-ACC held its 7th
Annual Meeting on November 16, 2002, at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago
immediately preceding the AHA Scientific Session. The agenda included Dr.
Trent Haywood, Chief Medical Officer, CMS Region V; Dr. Carolyn
Cunningham, Carrier Medical Director, AdminaStar Federal, Inc.; Wayne
Powell, Director, Regulatory & Legal Affairs, ACC; and Kathleen Flood,
Director, Payer Advocacy, ACC. Each spoke about his/her function within
the Medicare reimbursement system.

The 2nd session included Jennifer Linville, President of MedAxiom and Executive Director of the Cardiology Leadership Alliance. She spoke about tools to identify practice costs and new revenue stream opportunities. Dr. James Dove, Treasurer of the ACC and President of Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants spoke about his successful practice.
