Please help us assess the adoption of health information technology in Indiana.

Please go here to take this important survey -- it will take five minutes to complete. You can designate one informed person at your practice to respond on behalf of your entire practice.

Background:
The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provide for up to 5 years of incentive payments to physicians and hospitals that meet “meaningful use” criteria for qualified electronic health record (EHR) technology. For physician practices, to be eligible for the incentives, the ARRA legislation stipulates that the physicians must use the technology in a meaningful manner, which includes the management of demographic and clinical health information, the electronic exchange of health information to improve the quality of care, the submission of clinical quality measures, and e-prescribing. As we prepare discuss how we can advance EHR adoption.

If you have any questions, please contact Michael J. Mirro, MD, FACC, Co-Chair, Informatics Committee, American College of Cardiology, michaelmirro@gmail.com. Thank you.
