Maximum of two abstracts may be submitted
per person.
Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author
to be present on October 30 if his/her poster is accepted.
Who Can Participate All current Indiana fellows in a cardiology training program are
invited to present their research (past or present) during the poster session, scheduled for Saturday, October 30. Eligible
posters may present recent data, case study or information that has been presented previously at a local or national meeting.
Judging The abstracts will be judged in advance to select the top two abstracts for oral presentation. The rest of the accepted abstracts will be presented as posters and judged
at the poster presentation on Saturday, October 30.
Prizes
Oral
Presentation - First and second place for the oral presentation will be awarded based on a combination of abstract
content and oral presentation delivery as judged by a panel of cardiologists from various institutions. First
place - $500 Second place - $300
Poster Presentation First place - $300 Second place - $200 Winners will be announced on Saturday,
November 7, at the end of the meeting. Best FIT (Fellows in Training)
Poster Awards National Competition The winner of the Indiana-ACC poster competition will be invited to participate
in a Best FIT (Fellows in Training) Poster Awards National Competition
at ACC.11 . The ACC.11 registration fee will be waived; although the College is unable to reimburse for travel,
hotel and per diem expenses. As a semi-finalist in the national competition, your poster must be displayed for the entire
length of the meeting. Experts will judge the posters according to set criterion; prizes will be awarded to the top national winners
and announced at the popular ACC.11 and i2 Summit Highlights session. As the Indiana-ACC poster winner participating in the
ACC.11 Best FIT Poster Awards National Competition, you must withdraw any other duplicate abstract(s) that have been submitted
and accepted in either the general ACC/i2 Summit or Young Investigators Awards programs.
Day of the Meeting To prepare your abstract for the poster presentation, please
note that you will have available to you a 4’x6’ board to which to adhere your presentation material. You may
want to bring pushpins to affix your material. The poster session will take place from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 10:30-11:00 a.m.
on Saturday, October 30. Please stand by your posters to answer questions.
